Casa San Blas boutique / Cusco Hotel
Guest: Mali
My husband and I stayed at Casa San Blas for two nights after finishing our Inca Trail Trek.
We were super happy that Casa San Blas has a restaurant on site. We had woken up that morning at 3am to visit Machu Picchu and got to the hotel around 7pm after a full day of travel. Dinner was delicious, and more importantly it was quick, convenient, and reasonably priced. I cannot describe how nice it was not to go out searching for food after a full day of hiking and travel.
Our room was giant – we had a large kitchen area, a reasonably sized bedroom, and a large bathroom. I loved that they had hot water bottles warmed up for us. The room was comfortable and warm. It is located in the heart of the San Blas neighborhood and I think there was a festival happening when we were there, so it was a little noisy. My understanding is that this is the case for most centrally-located hotels in Cusco, so I would advise bringing earplugs, regardless of where you stay!
We also enjoyed sitting on the patio with our coffee and tea. It’s a nice space. Final note – the hotel staff was very helpful. We had some of our trekking clothes laundered and we were able to get those back the same day. They also helped us book a taxi to the airport the morning we left
Stayed: July 2018, traveled as a couple
