Wisdom Cards
Delia Vidal was a scholar who rescued Cusco’s textile art during the first half of the 20th century. When she passed away, her children and grandchildren wanted to carry on her legacy, and they devised a way to transmit her work in the field of semiology, through an “oracle game”.
We recognize that the icons known in Quechua as pallay possess both an aesthetic quality and a symbolic meaning, and that in the Andean worldview this meaning was related to universal wisdom. The collection of 32 cards includes reflections garnered from Delia’s work.
