You could have easily kept the $1,000 you found and nobody would ever have known except you, but you did the honest thing and returned the money I left at the hotel, and you will always have the satisfaction of knowing that you are a good and honest woman.

CSB: This is your third visit to Cusco.
Guest: Fourth. My fourth this year.
CSB: Your fourth visit, tell me why.
Guest: I am learning about the Andean Inca culture, and the practices, and to grow my spirit.
CSB: Beautiful. And why do you choose Casa San Blas for all your visits?
Guest: Oh, the first time I came I was so afraid. And everyone was so nice and treated me so well. Like family. And so, now, I am only coming to stay here because it is my family now. Everyone is friendly, it’s clean, the food is delicious. I like everybody. I really can’t say enough good things.
CSB: Any special memory about Cusco, and about this place?
Guest: Yes, I have a special memory about the first time I was here. I went on a retreat, out to the mountains. And when I returned I lost my wallet, with my money and credit card. I went to my room, and I was so upset that I called my husband and I was crying and just being really mad at myself. And I heard a knock at my door, and Mr. Carlos, the owner of the hotel, came to my door, and he said that they would help find my money, and asked me about the cabs. And I said, well, I took an independent cab. And he said, then we cannot find it, but don’t you worry, you can pay when you get home, with the credit card. And, don’t worry, you’re safe, everything is fine. You can relax now. And I felt like I had a very loving father taking care of me. And I will never forget that. Thank you.
